POSH COMPLIANCE

Creating Safe, Respectful & Legally Compliant Workplaces

The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013 (POSH Act) mandates that every organisation employing 10 or more employees must establish an Internal Committee (IC) and conduct regular POSH awareness and sensitization programs.

Many organizations treat POSH compliance as a documentation exercise. However, inadequate awareness among employees and managers often leads to workplace misconduct, employee grievances, reputational damage, and legal exposure.

TechnoHR helps organizations build a safe, inclusive, and legally compliant workplace through structured POSH training programs, awareness initiatives, Internal Committee training, and compliance support.

Why POSH Training Matters

A workplace free from harassment improves employee confidence, productivity, retention, and organizational culture. Regular awareness programs also demonstrate the organization’s commitment to employee well-being and legal compliance.

FAQ's

Is POSH training mandatory for all organisations in India?

Yes. Under the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Act, 2013, every organisation with 10 or more employees must conduct regular awareness programmes on POSH. They must also constitute an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), display information about the Act and ICC prominently, and file an annual report. TechnoHR provides full POSH compliance support including training, ICC constitution, and annual report preparation.

The POSH Act requires organisations to ‘organise workshops and awareness programmes at regular intervals.’ While the Act does not specify a fixed frequency, best practice (and most audit standards) recommend annual training as a minimum, with additional sessions when new employees join or when the Act is amended.
